Curaçao, 1984

Curaçao, 1984

Curaçao’s flag is a blue field with a horizontal yellow stripe, slightly towards the bottom, symbolising the sea (under the bar) and the sky. The two stars represent the islands of Curaçao and Klein Curaçao, the small uninhabited island to its southeast. The five points on each star symbolise the five continents from which Curaçao’s people descend. The flag was designed by Martin den Dulk and adopted, with some modifications, on 2 July 1984.
